The City of Madisonville has announced that Hero’s Hour will be held at 11:00 Tuesday morning at City Hall.

City officials stated that this special event is dedicated to honoring and celebrating the selfless service of our veterans and active-duty military members.

According to Public Relations Director Jennifer Daves, Hero’s Hour is a quarterly event aimed at fostering a supportive and collaborative environment for veterans and active-duty military personnel in Madisonville. She mentioned that this unique program offers local heroes an exclusive opportunity to meet with Mayor Kevin Cotton, allowing them to engage in open discussions about their concerns, experiences, and needs.

During Hero’s Hour, Daves said that participants will have the opportunity to share their perspectives on various issues, ensuring that both the mayor and the community are well-informed about the needs of local veterans and active-duty military members. She noted that the event also promotes networking and mutual support among attendees, creating a sense of camaraderie and solidarity.

Daves stated that Mayor Cotton is committed to understanding the challenges faced by our heroes and working collaboratively to address them. Whether discussing community initiatives, veteran-specific programs, or support avenues, she said Hero’s Hour aims to strengthen the bond between our military community and city leadership.
