In a progressive move towards sustainable energy, the Madisonville City Council has approved the first reading of an ordinance amending Chapter 51 concerning electricity, which introduces the Carbon-free Choice Program.
City Clerk Kim Blue introduced the amendment, which offers the Carbon-free Choice Program as an option for customers to purchase carbon-free energy from solar and hydroelectric facilities within the City of Madisonville.
