Authorities have identified the man who was struck and killed by a train in Hopkins County over the weekend.
The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office said on Wednesday that the victim was 22-year-old Jordan Edwards from Bremen, who was identified by his fingerprints.
On Tuesday, the Sheriff’s Office reported that their investigation found Edwards was walking north along the CSX railroad tracks between the 6000 block of Hopkinsville Road and Clarence Woodis Road in Earlington when he was fatally hit by a CSX train Saturday afternoon.
The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office and the Hopkins County Coroner’s Office investigated the fatality.
The Sheriff’s Office expressed gratitude to the community for their help in identifying Edwards and extended their condolences to his family.
