A Madisonville man was arrested for drug trafficking after a traffic stop Wedenesday afternoon.
Madisonville Police reported 61-year-old Curtis Johnicon was stopped on Main Street he was wanted on an active arrest warrant. Upon contact, police reportedly noticed a clear plastic baggie sticking out of his pants that contained a large quantity of suspected meth.
While being transported to the jail, police said Johnicon stated that there was a second baggie of suspected meth hidden in his underwear which was retrieved at the Hopkins County Detention Center. According to the police, Johnicon was found to have a total of 18.5 grams of meth.
Johnson was charged with first-degree trafficking of a controlled substance.
