There is good news for some of the ‘residents’ at the Hopkins County Humane Society. According to a social media post, Saturday morning, some 42 animals were loaded and transported to animal shelters in Ohio.

The move was necessitated after the Humane Society’s building was damaged in this week’s severe weather.

The Warren County Humane Society was able to assist with the transporting of the 42 dogs.

Officials with the Hopkins County Humane Society say they are still collaborating with the KHS to relocate the remaining animals at the facility.

The Hopkins County Humane Society is currently closed to the public and is unable to accept any new animals at this time. Additionally, the premises are restricted due to being a construction zone.
