
Overnight rainfall further worsened the flooding situation in Dawson Springs by Saturday morning.
According to Mesonet, Hopkins County received an additional 2.62 inches of rain from Friday night into mid-morning Saturday, bringing the total rainfall since Wednesday to 10.22 inches.
On Saturday morning, forecasters from the National Weather Service in Paducah said an additional 1-4 inches of rain is expected Saturday, with a localized higher swath across Kentucky potentially receiving up to 6 inches.
