Several agencies assisted in a water rescue operation in Webster County during the early hours of Thursday.
Officials from Webster County Emergency Management reported that the water rescue took place on Highway 109 in Wheatcroft after Kentucky Department of Transportation officials discovered a vehicle submerged in high water while checking water levels on the roads. Officials said they immediately called Webster County 911. Rescue personnel reportedly responded to the scene and were able to safely rescue the man. Officials said Deaconess EMS transported him for evaluation.
Emergency responders from Webster County Search and Rescue, the Webster County Sheriff’s Department, Webster County Emergency Management, Clay Fire Rescue, Wheatcroft Fire, Deaconess EMS, the Kentucky Department of Transportation, and Scott’s towing assisted with the rescue.
