Madisonville Community College has honored Stefanie Shoulders, guidance counselor at Crittenden County High School, with this year’s Pathfinder Award for her exceptional support and mentorship in guiding students toward post-secondary success.

The Pathfinder Award celebrates high school teachers and counselors who support MCC by helping students identify post-secondary pathways and offering continuous mentorship and encouragement.

In a written statement, MCC President Dr. Cindy Kelley praised Stefanie Shoulders for embodying the spirit of the Pathfinder Award, adding that her dedication to student success and her strong collaboration with MCC have made a lasting impact on both her school and the community.

School officials noted that Shoulders’ dedication to guiding students continues to strengthen the connection between Crittenden County High School and Madisonville Community College. They said her passion and support are instrumental in helping students achieve their full potential.

Each of the 16 colleges within the Kentucky Community and Technical College System annually selects a Pathfinder Award winner, with local recipients also eligible for the statewide KCTCS Pathfinder of the Year honor.
