During a Monday morning winter weather briefing, Governor Andy Beshear provided an update on road conditions and power outages across Kentucky.
The Governor began the briefing with positive news, noting that there have been no reported fatalities or major injuries from the severe weather event.

Gov. Beshear stated that the icing has downed power lines and tree limbs across the state, and more power outages are anticipated today.

After the winter storm passes through the state tonight, Beshear said the focus will shift to addressing power outages and the extreme cold. He added that state offices and other businesses across Kentucky are expected to be open on Tuesday, and residents should plan for extra time during their morning commute to ensure a safe arrival.
