The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to identify a man who was struck and killed by a train Saturday afternoon.
The Sheriff’s Office reported that an investigation revealed an unidentified man was walking north along the CSX railroad tracks between the 6000 block of Hopkinsville Road and Clarence Woodis Road in Earlington when he was fatally struck by a CSX train.
The Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s Office described the man as a white male, aged 20 to 25, with a medium build and medium-length brown hair. Authorities noted he was wearing black slip-on boots, blue jeans with black long johns underneath, and a red t-shirt beneath a black Under Armor hoodie. They also mentioned he might have been wearing a blue-black zip-up jacket.
