Four Hopkins County residents were indicted on drug trafficking related charges during the January session of the grand jury.
The Hopkins County Grand Jury indicted Dimantasia Lewis, of Earlington, on charges of participating as a member of a criminal syndicate by trafficking in cocaine and/or possession of cocaine with the intent to traffic, and/or facilitating the sale or distribution of cocaine, which offense was the type of offense in which the criminal syndicate engaged. She was also indicted on a charge of first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. The charges stem from an incident on January 1, 2024, which was investigated by the Madisonville Police.
A true bill was returned to Dalton Weaver of Madisonville on charges of marijuana trafficking, marking his second or subsequent offense, along with two additional violations. The charges are from an incident on December 12, 2024, which was investigated by the Kentucky State Police.
Jakkum Stum of Madisonville was indicted on a charge of marijuana trafficking from an incident on December 12, 2024, investigated by Kentucky State Police.
Demarco Washington of Madisonville was indicted on charges of trafficking meth, trafficking opiates, possession of a controlled substance not in proper container, first-degree persistent felony offender along with several misdemeanor offenses and violations. The charges are from December 2, 2024, after an investigation by Madisonville Police.
