Police say a Madisonville man has been arrested on multiple charges after an investigation into the alleged exploitation of a minor.

On February 12, Madisonville Police reported that detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division began investigating allegations against 40-year-old Matthew Orange. During the investigation, detectives said they discovered that Orange had engaged in sexually explicit communication with a minor via an electronic device. They said he also exposed the minor to pornography, provided the minor with vapes, and engaged in deviant sexual intercourse with the minor. Furthermore, detectives found Orange in possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.

Orange was charged with procurement or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means, unlawful transaction with a minor, distribution of obscene matter to minors, third-degree sodomy, possession of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said a further investigation led to the arrest of a 75-year-old Madisonville after detectives learned he had engaged in deviant sexual intercourse with a minor on at least four occasions, being fully aware the victim was underage. He was charged with four counts of third-degree sodomy.
