Governor Beshear Declares April as Month of the Military Child

Governor Andy Beshear signed a proclamation Thursday morning designating April as the Month of the Military Child, a month-long celebration devoted to acknowledging and honoring the unique sacrifices and experiences of military children.

Kentucky’s First Lady, Britainy Beshear, said they were honored to acknowledge the military children whose parents serve at Ft. Campbell, Fr. Knox, and in the Kentucky National Guard.

Carlee Collins shared that, for her, being a military child means always staying strong and looking forward to the positive things
