Officials with the City of Dawson Springs have announced that a seedling giveaway will be held Friday for residents of Caldwell and Hopkins counties, and surrounding areas affected by tornadoes.
According to officials, the Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet, a Division of Forestry, will have the following free seedlings available:
Pecan
Hawthorn
Bald Cypress
Eastern Redbud
You can pick up your free seedlings from 9 a.m. until noon Friday at the Dawson Springs Farmers Market, located in the Downtown Square on East Arcadia Avenue.
Officials indicate the event will take place rain or shine.
