The Madisonville Electric Department has been honored with the Diamond Safety Award by the American Power Association for its outstanding safety practices in 2024.
According to city officials, this award recognizes utilities across the country, with Madisonville Electric being recognized in the 30,000-59,999 annual worker-hours category for maintaining one of the most incident-free and safety-focused operations.
City officials said they are proud of the team’s commitment to keeping safety at the heart of everything– protecting each other while keeping Madisonville powered.
