MSU Non-Profit Lunch and Learn Series
February 13 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
In response to requests from our community to offer support for nonprofit organizations, Murray State University and the Hopkins County Regional Chamber have partnered for a four-part, lunch and learn series focused on board development for the nonprofit sector. This series is designed for not only the nonprofit professional, but also a nonprofit board volunteer looking to enhance impact and sustainability.
Sessions have been strategically designed to be applicable to any size nonprofit. Presented by Dr. Elise Kieffer, Program Director and Assistant Professor of Nonprofit Leadership Studies at Murray State University, participants will be engaged from start to finish through her interactive delivery that will provide multiple tools that can be immediately applied to any nonprofit. Sessions include: Serving on Nonprofit Boards 101; Board Fundraising; Living by (and Learning to Love!) Your Organization’s By-Laws; and Institutional Memory. Offered the second Thursday of each month (February 13, March 13, April 10, and May 8) from 12 p.m.—1 p.m., participants will be served lunch while learning about each featured topic integral to the success of the nonprofit organization. Hopkins County Regional Chamber members can attend for a member-rate of $50 for the series, and nonmembers can attend for $100. Registration is open online at https://bit.ly/3PIYQbv now through February 10, 2025.
