Assessment of Hopkins County Flood Damage Underway

Following the severe flooding that has affected Hopkins County, Assistant Emergency Management Director Jesse Breedlove reports that they have been assessing the damage across the area.

He says that while floodwaters have receded on some rods in parts of the county, other areas, including roads and some houses in the Jewell City area, remain submerged.

He advises residents with flood-affected properties to first contact their insurance companies to determine coverage details, ensuring they have all necessary information ready for FEMA.
